Metric- Gimme Sympathy
Thank god for Metric. Ever since I hear “Old World Underground Where are You Now?,” back in Senior year of high school I’ve loved this band. “Gimme Sympathy” is their newest single from their album Fantasies.
This music video shows the video and how the video was made in a split-screen of awesome and reminds me why I love this Canadian Indie Band- not only are their songs melodic, innovative and beautiful but so are their music videos. I still remember when I first saw the music video for “Combat Baby,” wow.

The Bouncing Souls- Airport Security
Hi Folks! So here’s some good tunage for your enjoyment. All the way from Jersey, The Bouncing Souls!
I love the Bouncing Souls, they are one of my favorite New Jersey Bands and I got to see them live last December at one of their “Home(less) for the Holidays” shows down in Asbury Park.
There they said that they would be releasing a new song for the next 12 months for their upcoming album. “Airport Song” is one of their newest singles AND they made a fantastic video for it.

Thursday- Resuscitation of a Dead Man
Here’s the new single off of Thursday’s newest album Common Existence.
I have to say, I really feel old when the lead singer from Thursday starts looking older and older every year. A part of my emotional teenage years were dedicated to listening to Thursday and other emo bands, whose albums will be picked up by my children and subsequently labeled “oldies” by those same future teenage offspring of yours truly.
This song brings me back to those rage-filled afternoons where my parents just didn’t understand me for who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. Uggghhhh parents…

Royksopp- Happy Up Here
This is the new video from my favorite European pop/techno/electro rock group Royksopp. I saw it on Hi My Name is Markand thought I would post it here in our music section. Royksopp is pretty sick. Its a good band for skiing down Mt. Sunapee. Check out Melody A.M. and The Understanding.
Tokyo Ska Paradise- Pride of Lions
I love this band. Japanese Ska. Can it get any better for me? I’m not sure. Maybe if Godzilla was wearing a pork pie hat in the video….maybe.
Broken english aside, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (TSPO) have been around for years. They were one of the first bands to play Ska in Japan and have been at Bonnaroo, Eurokees and other major outdoor concerts. Check em out here.
